Institute for Information & Supply Chain Management at the University off applied Management

The iSCM Institute and the same named endowed Chair were founded in 2015 on the initiative of Prof. Dr. Rudolf Aunkofer together with the GfK Verein and the University of Applied Management. Both are part of the Faculty of Business Administration. The institute’s teaching and service offerings – as well as the research focus of the chair – focus on two core competencies of the digitally networked world:

(1) The integrated management of supply chain & value networks

(2) Data Literacy & Information Management as the basis for the active design of digitisation & knowledge networks

Following the motto of the American poet and Pulitzer Prize winner Mark Van Doren “The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery”, a very high value is placed in the university teaching on an innovative & practical approach as well as on an active cooperation of the students.

As researchers, consultants and companions, the experts of the institute support companies, organisations, associations and state institutions with their many years of practical experience, expertise and knowledge transfer from current research projects.
